Nicky Scott has been fascinated with composting since working for Powlings Compost whilst at school. In the 1990’s he helped set up the first community composting project in Devon which has now grown into a community business in Chagford, called Proper Job.
Nicky became the co-ordinator of the Devon Community Composting Network and the chair of the National Community Composting Network for many years. He has worked with the New Economics Foundation, the Open University, the Complexity University and advised the Community Composting Network and Social Farms and gardens and has been invited to speak at many conferences and seminars in the UK and abroad.
